[HAM] leslie 145 questions

Please bear with me, I've got a few questions in regards to leslie 145:

1.)   What determines which way the treble horn rotates?
2.)   Let's pretend I purchased a 145 new from Leslie......Which way
       would the treble horn and bass rotor rotate?

3.)   Has anyone ever fitted the 147 amp with a bottom cover to prevent
       the insides of the amp from getting "gunky/dirty"  ?
