[HAM] SRO Speakers

By using an 8 ohm speaker you will change the crossover point from 800hz
which will drastically change (for the worse) the Leslie's sound -- and
could damage the output transformer on a 122 or 147 Leslie. They are
designed for a 16ohm bass & 16ohm treble load. If you want to use someother
speaker (with the stock amp) - choose a 16ohm speaker. Most companies made
16 ohm versions or they can be reconed by a speaker shop as a 16ohm speaker.
The stock Jensen produced usable frequency rating of about 50 - 4000.
Changing that frequency response curve by putting in another speaker
drastically changes the sound of the Leslie (some like, some don't). I run
two high-power 122's done by the late Bill Beer with JBL's and love the
sound -- some don't like it at all.
