Hi John,
Greetings from the other end of the ferry.
Mods like this can be simple, like Kip says, or they can 
be........................................................anything! If you 
are having trouble sorting out the speed plugs, or you don't know what you 
are looking at when you flip the amp, you're probably better off having 
some poor tech look at it.

I looked at your pics, and didn't see what might help, namely, some good 
pics of the guts of the front end.
