It would be more proper to use the 1/4 jack as an output  to another amp
verses an input. But I personally don't like the location of the jack for
either purpose.

The AC power cord appears to be in parallel with the existing wiring.

At least the experimenter used a so called "protective cap" on the standard
input cable connection to some what prevent electrical shock or death. They
could have connected all that garbage to a 6 pin  input connector and have
not drilled any holes into the chassis.
