DL told me this whacky wow-wow device wasn't his idea, but he bought the 
rights from the guy that did invent it.  Don offered it as an accessory for 
Hammond organs.  Since all Hammonds (at the time) had sheet metal under the lower 
manual, it was held in place by magnets.  

The Electro-Mute didn't sell very well, and is somewhat rare today.  However, 
DL's good friend Dick Peterson (Peterson Electro-Musical Products) liked it, 
so it was offered as original factory equipment on selected Gulbransen theatre 
models.
